Problem

Making a change to the first and/or last name of an address book contact in the server-side account does not propagate properly to the BlackBerry address book.

Explanation

There is a bug in the BlackBerry Contact API in the BlackBerry Operating System software version 4.5.0 and later that prevents both NotifyLink and NotifySync from synchronizing changes to the name properties of existing contacts. There is currently no resolution for devices that are affected by this bug and it has been reported to RIM for a future fix in the BlackBerry Operating System software.
